control crop fungal diseases or risk crop loss

Intensify fungal diseases control now or risk crop loss

It is highly important to intensify the control of fungal diseases during the rainy season, or else you may risk a total crop failure.

Fungal diseases tend to spread quickly in the cold and wet season when humidity is high.

It becomes very hard and expensive to control them once they have infected your crops. In some extreme cases, crops may even die, leading to poor quality yields.

The worst fungal diseases are late blight, early blight, black spots, downy mildew, powdery mildew, and leaf spots.

The crops most affected by these diseases are potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and coffee. Therefore, it is necessary to take intensive prevention measures by applying fungicides.

During the cold and wet months, farmers should spray their crops weekly to prevent fungal diseases from spreading.

In case the crops are already infected, spraying with copper-based fungicides can help to stop the spread.

In Kenya, the best fungicides available are Redomil Gold, Infinito, Score, and Luna Sensation.
