Cabbage farming has grown due to the high demand caused by the ever changing eating habits.These demand has led to increase in farm gate prices.However consumers are very skeptical on quality ,that is,the color of the cabbage,fibre content, post harvest shelf life.

1. Kiboko F1
Features
• Kiboko F1 is a compact round head cabbage.
• Weighs between 6-8kgs.
• It has a bluish waxy leaves with good wrappers.
• Matures in 80-90days.
• Kiboko F1 exhibits good tolerance to Black rot (Xanthomonas), splitting and keeps long after harvesting.
• Number of cabbages expected per acre: spacing (60*45cm)=11, 250 cabbages.
• Kiboko F1 has a yield potential of 45-69tonnes/ acre.

2. Triperio F1
Features
• TiperioF1 is Uniform, bigger head size cabbage with excellent head coverage that guarantees freshness to the market.
• Weighs between 4-6 kgs.
• Triperio is a blue-green cabbage with a compact large head with round shape.
• Matures in 80-90days.
• Has a strong stem elevation above ground with very high uniformity in the field
• Number of cabbages expected per acre: spacing (60*60cm)=10,500 cabbages.
• Triperio F1 has a yield potential of 55-80 tonnes/ acre.

Features

• The colour of KILIMO is a typical fresh grey-green which is highly sought after by market agents and hawkers.
• KILIMO has shown good field resistance to black rot.

4. Pruktor F1
Features
• Shape- High Round
• Head Size – 4-5Kg
• Firmness – Very firm and Compact
• Maturity 85 – 90 Days
• Good field Holding ability and long Shelf Life

5. Star 3316
Features
• Large upright frame with excellent head protection
• Uniformly filled heads with firm internal texture
• High yield potential
• Medium to late maturing with good holdability.Approximately 90 – 110 days from transplant .
• STAR 3316 has very firm round to semi-globe shaped heads with an average head size (without frame leaves) of between 3 – 5 kg with an excellent flavour
